UPDATE: Health Ministry ups appeal for Bajans who travelled to US, UK

To better accommodate the response by persons who travelled to the United States and United Kingdom between March 15 and 22, the Ministry of Health has added two new contact numbers to capture everyone.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness added two more telephone numbers for persons to call who travelled into Barbados from the United States and United Kingdom during the time period. 

Persons can call, WhatsApp, or text 832-6171, 832-6154 or 832-6155, between 9 am and 5 pm daily. They may also e-mail their information to covid19.hotline@health.gov.bb. 

The Ministry is working to establish a register of these persons and make regular contact to ensure they remain well. 

The policy to quarantine all travellers entering Barbados from the United States and the United Kingdom went into effect on March 22, 2020.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has issued a call for all persons who arrived in Barbados from the United States or the United Kingdom between March 15 and 22 to contact the Ministry.

They may do so by calling 832-6171 between 9 am and 5 pm daily. They may also convey the information by WhatsApp or text messaging.

Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr Anton Best, has advised that the measure is being taken so that the Ministry can establish a register of those persons, and make regular contact to ensure they remain well.

The policy to quarantine all travellers entering Barbados from the United States and the United Kingdom went into effect on March 22.
