Body found inside abandoned structure at Bathsheba, St Joseph

The Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) is treating the discovery of a body found in St Joseph as a sudden death.
Around 7.30 am on Wednesday April 22, 2020, police were called out to an old abandoned house located at Powell Spring where the decomposed body of an adult male was found. The structure is opposite the area known as the Soup Bowl which is a popular surfing and liming spot for locals and tourists.
Police said there is no foul play suspected at this time.
Barbados has recorded two sudden death incidents for the year; one case involving an elderly man who collapsed and died in Rendezvous Christ Church and the other occurred at One Accord Plaza, St Michael when a woman died after complaining of feeling unwell. Both incidents happened in January.
