COVID-19 Update November 18.
Two JetBlue passengers are Barbados' latest COVID-positive patients.
A 25-year-old Barbadian man is the latest person to be diagnosed with COVID-19. He arrived on JetBlue on November 17, and was asymptomatic.
He was the only positive case out of 316 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday (November 17). Meanwhile, one person will be released from isolation today (November 18).
As a result, there are six people in isolation, 239 people have recovered and confirmed cases to date now stand at 252, comprising 133 females and 119 males. The
laboratory has completed 43,135 tests.
Yesterday, a 38-year-old female who arrived on JetBlue on November 14, was the only COVID-19-positive case among 482 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public
Health Laboratory on Monday (November 16). The woman, who arrived from the USA with a valid negative test, was diagnosed with the viral illness after undergoing a second test.
No one was discharged from isolation on Tuesday (November 17).
