Additionally, Barbados has recorded another three positive tests including one Barbadian woman who arrived on July 29, a male visitor who arrived on July 30 and another positive case which is under investigation is that of a Barbadian who arrived from the UK with a negative test in-hand but who tested positive when tested to travel again.
The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 244 tests on July 31. The 12 positives account for approximately five per cent of the sample tested yesterday.
The news was shared by Acting Chief Medical Officer Kenneth George in a live broadcast from CBC. He stressed that all 12 COVID-positive patients are "asymptomatic" and "all nurses went into 14 days quarantine" immediately.
