Father shot multiple times in his verandah, hospitalised

Wayne Harewood was shot numerous times about his upper body at his home in Upper Duncans, St Philip last night.

Police Public Relations, Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss told the media that personnel from the District C Police Station responded to a report of shooting at Duncans in St Philip, which occurred about 8.15 pm last night, Tuesday, April 21. 

According to the report, the 52-year-old father, who goes by the aliases Max or Maxi Priest, "was sitting in his patio when four men approached and a number of shots were discharged.

"He received an injury to his chest and two others to the left side of his head."

Harewood was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private car. He was reported to be in stable condition after undergoing emergency surgery.

Police investigations are ongoing.
