No one was injured during a daring daylight shooting at a funeral service held at King Street,

Police responded to the shooting incident which occurred about 2:50 pm today, October 8, at King Street in St Michael.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss:

"There was a funeral service in procession at a church in the area when members of the public and the congregation reported hearing a series of loud explosions which caused many of them to scamper."

The shots disrupted to the service.

"Police were in the area and others were summoned. Investigations were conducted and the scene identified and processed by the forensic department. There were a number of motor vehicles damaged as a result of the gunshots also two houses in the immediate area were damaged.

"No one reported any injuries as a result of this shooting incident. Investigations are ongoing," stated Inniss.
