The constituents of St George North have no representative in the House of Assembly at present.

Gline Clarke's resignation from the House of Assembly was officially been recorded today (September 29).

Speaker of the House, His Honour Arthur Holder read that the notice of resignation by Clarke, the Member of Parliament for St George North, was submitted on September 22, 2020.

And he directed that the letter now "be recorded in the minutes and the seat be declared vacant."

Subsequently, the Leader of Government Business Santia Bradshaw moved that an address be sent to the Governor General Dame Sandra Mason asking Her Excellency to issue a writ for an election to fill the vacancy.

This was the first order of business during the third Sitting of second Session of The House of Assembly, 2018-2023.
