KFC Barbados refutes all claims of being associated with the message circulating claiming that they are offering free meals in an 'Exclusive Offer'.

Reportedly, the offer which has been circulating on local social media has forced the fast-food chain to issue an statement on their Instagram page in an attempt to clear the air because many persons seem to be falling victim to the hoax.

“We are aware that there are false promotions being circulated and wish to advise the public that we do not currently have any promotions offering free meals associated with any surveys. We regret any inconvenience experienced by our valued customers and encourage everyone to avoid participating in these promotions as they do not originate with KFC Barbados”.

This was accompanied by a caption that revealed the offer, called the ‘Exclusive Offer', stated that KFC is providing 3000 snack buckets for everyone.

The fake promotion comes on the heels of KFC's official Secret Recipe promotion where participants have a chance to win $5,000 and free KFC for a year. Those who are participating must record a video of themselves revealing their “juiciest secret”.

The competition is currently running throughout 15 Caribbean and South American countries; Barbados Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Columbia, Curacao, Ecuador, Guyana, Jamaica, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago.
