Accused of two murders, six months apart, Gabriel Hayde remanded

Gabriel Shando Hayde is in custody at Her Majesty's Prison - Dodds.

The 23-year-old of Colleton, St John appeared before Magistrate Elwood Watts at the District C Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (October 13), charged with several offences including two murders. 

Hayde was charged with the following offences: 

  •  The murder of Kerwin Howell on February 16, 2020. 
  • The murder of Roger Moore on August 18, 2020. 
  • The possession of a .40 firearm on October 4, 2020
  • The possession of 23 rounds of ammunition on October 4, 2020. 
  • The possession of cannabis on October 4, 2020. 
  • The trafficking of cannabis on October 4, 2020. 
  • The intent to supply cannabis on October 4, 2020. 
  • Dishonestly receiving one motorcar belonging to Tonisha Layne-Crichlow, knowing or believing the car to be stolen, between September 25 and October 4, 2020. 

Hayde was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was not granted bail. However, he pleaded not guilty on the drug charges. 

The 23-year-old was remanded to the Her Majesty’s Prisons Dodds and is scheduled to reappear at the District C Magistrate's Court on November 10 concerning the drug charges.
