Outpouring of love for One Eleven owners after devastating fire

The owners and staff of One Eleven East Beach Bar are receiving lots of messages of love in the wake of the horrific fire that flattened their bar and restaurant in Speightstown.

Days after the blaze which occurred on September 3, the owners took to their Facebook page to communicate with their customers and friends saying:

"This is just a quick note to let everyone know that we have only just managed to get some connectivity. We are now reading all of your kind messages and offers of help. We will be back in touch with you over the next day or so. In the mean time our thoughts are also with Archer's Hall and all of those affected by the fire. Thank you all once again.

"Beth & Martin."

Monique Archer of Archer's Hall responded with:

"We are so devastated for you as well. Watching our businesses burn was one of the most tragic moments in our lives. We will rebuild and be stronger and better soon!"

With almost 200 emotional reactions and likes, others commented reinforcing their love for the establishment, for their "favourite place" in Barbados, that went up in flames in a matter of a few hours.

"Dear Beth, Martin and the whole One Eleven team, so good to hear that you are all safe. It was horrific to see the photos of the fire, and to learn that one of the most beautiful and special places on the island has burned down. What you created with One Eleven is unique, it always feels a little like spending time in a friend’s private garden by the beach, a very stylish and chilled garden! It might feel daunting now, but we all hope you will rebuild. And if there is anything I can do to help, promote or spread the word, or anything else, please just let me know. Looking forward to see you all again this winter. All the best from London Kiki xxx"
