Planned water works in St John could cause outages, low pressure

Residents and businesses in parts of S. John are being put on notice by the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) to expect service disruptions for four hours next week.

BWA will be installing a valve on a 6-inch main near Colleton Plantation on Tuesday, May 26 between 9 am and 1 pm.

As a result of the planned works, customers in the following areas may be affected by low pressure or water outages:

Massiah Street, Stewart Hill, Colleton Gardens, Haynes Hill, Coach Hill, Welch Town, Sargeant Street, Sealy Hall and the surrounding districts.

The BWA is asking persons in the affected districts to store an adequate supply of water to help during this period.

Water tankers will also be dispatched to assist.
