UPDATE: Policeman shot in St John stable, male shooter still at large

The policeman who was shot is stable.

He is recovering.

 

Police officer shot in St John rushed to hospital, culprit at large

A policeman was shot in St John.

Police are carrying out investigations into a shooting incident where a male police officer was shot and injured while on duty in the area of Henley Plantation in St John today, Wednesday, May 27.

It occurred at about 11.45 am.

According to the police report, police officers were on duty along Henley Road in St John, when they challenged an individual who opened fire injuring one.

The injured officer was rushed to theQueen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) for medical attention. The name of the officer is being withheld.

The male culprit, who fled the scene on foot is said to be short and stocky, has a light complexion, and at the time he was wearing a green and white T-shirt and short green pants.
