School resumes at St Alban's Primary

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training has advised that school will resume at the St. Alban's Primary School for all classes. 

The school was closed on Thursday, January 16 after a parent, 38-year-old Marlon Holder, was shot and killed just outside the school compound while he was dropping his son and another student off. The shooting incident occurred just after 8 am and parents were called to collect their children.

Ministry officials and members of the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) visited the school on Thursday to speak with staff and the Principal. 

Counselors from the Ministry were brought in to assist staff and students in coping with the brazen daylight killing of a parent. The shooting reportedly occurred in view of students and school staff. 

School will resume as normal on Monday, January 20, 2020.
