Trio charged in relation to My Lord's Hill murder

Police have made a major breakthrough into the murder of 30-year-old Jamar Crichlow.

Crichlow succumbed to his gunshot injuries 11 hours after being shot in the chest and back on Friday night. He died on Saturday morning at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Police from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested and formally charged three individuals for several criminal matters which arose out of circumstances surrounding Crichlow's murder which occurred on May 17, 2020.

The individuals are:

  1. Chad Keelay Darlington, 19, of Bonnetts Housing Area, St Michael who is charged that he on the 17th day of May 2020 murdered Jamar Crichlow.
  2. Ranaldo Sanato Trim, 21, of Licorish Village, My Lord's Hill, St Michael who is charged that he: 
    • on the 19th day of May 2020 did have in his possession a firearm and did not have a valid licence. 
    • on the 19th day of May 2020 did have in his possession one round of ammunition and did not have a valid permit to do so.
  3. Shakeen Kobi Shorey, 20, of Licorish Village, My Lord's Hill, St Michael who is charged that he on the 16th day of May 2020, did supply a firearm to Chad Darlington and did not have a valid licence to do so.

They are all scheduled to appear at the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court today, Friday, May 22, 2020.
