VIDEO: Man filmed 'hurling racist slur' on plane held in Jamaica

A man caught on video apparently hurling racist slurs at a group of passengers on a plane at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica has been apprehended by authorities there.

In a one-minute video circulating on social media, the Caucasian man is seen being confronted by several passengers on the plane before he appears to repeatedly hurl the racist slur at them while cursing others and lambasting an air hostess who tried to deescalate the situation.

Reports are that authorities were called and the man, said to be a US national, was removed from the plane. 

Loop News understands that, when contacted by the police, the man's family said he suffers from mental illness.

He was reportedly taken to the Bellevue Hospital in Jamaica where he was admitted for treatment.
