Welcome stamp hotline and online chat launched to help visitors

Tourists and visitors can now get 24-hour assistance when applying for the Barbados Welcome Stamp programme.
A statement by the Barbados Tourism Marketing Incorporated (BTMI) announced the launch of both a toll-free hotline, as well as an instant chat feature on the website www.barbadoswelcomestamp.bb.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley launched the Barbados Welcome Stamp in July of this year as a means to extend a worldwide invitation for visitors to live and work in Barbados for up to one year.
The BTMI noted that since the launch of the Stamp, there have been more than 1,600 individual and family group applications from around the world, totaling over 2,700 persons.
Destinations such as the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK), and Canada account for the lion’s share of applications thus far, with applicants ranging from lawyers to entrepreneurs to digital nomads.
